Google Plus is an often neglected form of social media that can have a significant impact on your social media success as a business. While many social media managers don’t give Google Plus the attention it deserves, I believe that it is a necessary part of any robust social media campaign. Since many small business owners are unfamiliar with using Google Plus, however, knowing how to invite your social media manager to manage your Google Plus account can be tricky. That’s why today I want to over a few simple steps that will help you to get the job done!
How to Invite Your Social Media Manager to Manage Your Google Plus Page
Note: In order to invite your social media manager to manage your Google Plus page, you must already have a Google Plus page. If you do not currently have a Google Plus page for your business, you can set one up here.
Step 1: Once you have set up your Google Plus page option, you want to go to your Google Plus profile page which you can do by following the link listed above.
Step 2: On your Google Plus profile page you will see on the left side of the screen (next to your profile picture) a small star that says “# Pages”. Click this.
Step 3: A drop-down menu should open that lists your current Google Plus pages. Select the page that you want to invite your social media manager to manage.
Step 4: Here you will see a link that says “Settings”, click this.
Step 5: You should now see two settings options. One of these options will be “Managers”, click this.
Step 6: You will now see a list of current managers of your Google Plus page. At the bottom of this list, you will see a box where you can enter the email address of anyone you want to invite to manage your page. Enter your social media manager’s email address and click the “invite” button. This will send your social media manager an email invitation that will allow them to accept the role as manager and begin managing your Google Plus page.
