5 Things an Online Presence Management Company Can’t Do for Your Business

By March 9, 2018May 15th, 2021No Comments

Hiring an online presence management company can do a million great things to help to improve the online presence of your business. There are a handful of things that an online presence management company cannot get done for you and today I want to cover five of those things.

5 Things An Online Presence Management Company Can’t Do For Your Business

1. Get You The #1 Position On Google

It’s something that clients often request and hope for from online presence managers and it’s something many shady OPM’s promise, but there is no guarantee when it comes to obtaining positions on Google. Why? Algorithms are constantly changing, sponsored content will always place above the rest, and content is dynamic. An SEO professional can improve your rankings, they can’t guarantee them.

2. Improve Your Online Presence with Duplicate Content

Copy and pasting content and publishing it as a new article is detrimental to your online presence. Anyone who tries to tell you any different is not working with your best interests in mind. Content should be quality, unique, and engaging.

3. Increase Your Online Presence By Including Tons of Links In Your Content

Some people will falsely try to tell you that including more links in your content is beneficial to your business. This is simply not true. When it comes to your content, your focus should always be on encouraging people to stay on your website for longer periods of time, you don’t want to just leak your traffic left and right. When it comes to links, you want to link quality content that is relevant.

4. Improve Your Online Presence with Keyword Stuffing

Keywords play a part in your online success as a business presence but overuse of keywords or “keyword stuffing” can lead to your company being penalized by search engines. A good OPM will utilize keywords strategically and do so in a way that makes sense to readers and is relevant to your niche.

5. Help You Without a Strategy

Every online presence manager should have a strategy in place. This strategy should involve goals for your business, techniques for getting there, and they should be able to explain that to you. Any OPM who tells you that their strategy is just too complicated to explain is not a person to trust with your business. Ask your OPM what their strategy is and although you may not understand everything they are telling you, it’s important that they tell you!
